For GLS delivery partners
GLS partners own and maintain their own vehicles. When you need one more van than you own, for a week or a season, rent it inspected, GPS-tracked and staged in the Phoenix metro.
GLS calls the businesses that run its pickup and delivery routes delivery partners, or simply partners: independent contractors and motor carriers that supply their own vehicles. This page uses that term. Elsewhere on the site we say “your company”.
How it works
Request a van for a driver and a set of dates, then pay up front. Fleetstead bills your company, not the driver.
Vans are staged at lots in the Phoenix metro, and the pickup point comes with your confirmation. Tell us where your drivers report and we will tell you the nearest lot.
The van is tracked while it is out and your dispatcher can see where it is. It comes back to the same lot, on time, with a full tank.

Where it fits
New routes are easier to say yes to when the van is a rental for the first season.
Rent by the day until yours is back from the shop.
Cargo vans for parcel routes, Freightliner MT45 step vans for the high-stop ones, both on the same account.
Every pickup and return is photographed and logged. You see the inspection record, the day's trips and any low-fuel event, by driver, ready to forward to GLS if asked.
