Vans

Air conditioning varies by van. If the route needs it, say so on the request form and we assign a van that has it.
Inspection
What inspected means here.
Each van has its own maintenance clock, by miles and by days. If an item is due, the van is held until it is done. No exceptions for a busy morning.
- Engine oil and filter
- Tires: rotation, tread and condition
- Brakes
- Transmission fluid and coolant
- Wipers, lights and battery
- Registration and insurance card, current and in the van
At pickup the driver does a short pre-trip on their phone: walk-around photos, tire pressures with the gauge in the van, and an oil check before the engine starts. It takes a few minutes and it is the record both sides rely on at return.
Tracking
Tracked from pickup to return.
Every Fleetstead van carries a GPS tracker. While a van is rented, Fleetstead and the driver's company can see where it is and what it did that day.
- What is tracked
- Location, trips, stops, ignition, odometer, and fuel level and engine faults where the van reports them.
- Who sees it
- Fleetstead and the company the driver works for. Drivers consent to this in the rental agreement.
- Low fuel
- If a van reads below a quarter tank at any point during a rental, it is recorded and shown to the company. Low fuel shortens the life of the fuel pump, so we treat it as a maintenance issue, not just a fee.
- Tampering
- Unplugging or disabling the tracker carries a fee and can end the rental.
Availability
By request.
We do not publish a live count. Tell us which facility your drivers report to, the dates, how many vans of which class, and whether they need air conditioning. We confirm availability and a pickup time, and your company pays before pickup.
Vans are staged at last-mile lots in Phoenix. The companies we rent to run routes for carriers such as OnTrac, FedEx, Amazon and GLS; tell us where your drivers report and we will confirm the nearest lot. Exact lot and key instructions come with the confirmation.
Request a van
One form for a single van or a block of them. Rates are quoted per company, so the quote comes back with the confirmation.
